Rogue’s Honor

I have a confession to make, Readers: I know that romance novels all end up sounding the same after a while. Just ask my boyfriend! When people ask me what I’m reading, he likes to joke that he can guess what it’s about without even hearing the title...

Ten Things I Love About You

I really enjoy Julia Quinn’s period romances, and when I get a chance to pick one up I’ll usually do it, but this time I was Extra Super Incredibly Excited (yes, with all caps) because the title is Ten Things I Love About You, which is a play off of my favorite movie of all time (Ten Things I Hate About You, for those of you unaware of the best parts of 90s culture).

Wicked and the Wallflower

Today is my mom’s birthday!!! If you read my review of (LINK!), you’re already aware that my mom is the person who got me hooked on romance novels. The first one she gave me was a period romance, so in honor of her birthday, I am reviewing a period romance for you lovely readers!

The Firebrand

I have a confession to make: I am afraid of fire. Honestly, if you were to ask me the way I absolutely DO NOT want to die, the answer will be “Fire” and it will probably be yelled at the top of my lungs in about point-five seconds. I absolutely hate it. So when I tell you that I picked this book up at a thrift store a while ago because I’d already read one of the other books in Susan Wiggs’s Chicago Fire Trilogy, you should know that reading the second book was a complete accident.

A Week to Be Wicked

I learned about A Week to Be Wicked, by Tessa Dare, from a link that Jeriann sent me. Knowing my love of all things science and of all things fiction, she sent me a list of books about females in science and mathematics. Some of the books are fiction and some are non-fiction, but all are about a woman working in a STEM field. Anyway, this book caught my eye because I haven't read a lot of period romances recently...and also because the main character is a geologist, a subject which I was mildly obsessed with in high school.
